About This Trail

Two self-guided historical walking routes exploring the history and waterfront of Daajing Giids. Historical Walk #1 (2 km return, minimal elevation) starts and ends at the Village Office, turning around at the Daajing Giids Visitor Centre (3220 Wharf St) — travel partly on the sea walk and partly on Oceanview Drive (Highway 16) one way, then return along 2nd Ave, which occasionally meanders into alleys and a trail, passing the unique architecture of Hippy Hill and roadside berry bushes in summer. Beach Trail Walk #2 (3 km return, flat) starts at the Village Office and heads west to Haydn Turner Park and Cemetery, following the oceanfront along Oceanview Drive to the campsites, then around the point at low to medium tide, with berries to enjoy in summer.
