Sylvia Doll

Sylvia Doll lives in Sandspit/K'il Kun and has spent years developing a precise eye for materials. She now makes knives that pair commercial blades with handles of wood, antler, and other natural materials. Her woodworking days are mostly behind her, but her past body of work — boxes, chests, furniture, and sculptural pieces — made distinctive use of character wood from the Haida Gwaii rainforest. Her work is sold exclusively at the Sandspit/K'il Kun and Daajing Giids Visitor Centres.
