Gore Brook Trail

Wet path through ferns and cedars

Gore Brook Trail — rainforest terrain accessible from two points in Daajing Giids

Easily accessible from the top of 8th Street (north of the high school) or the top of 9th Street (north of the Daajing Giids Village Office), both clearly identified by trailhead markers. Highlights include evidence of springboard logging, mosses, old growth, and rich vegetation.

Rating: Moderate

Distance: 1.6 km

Sturdy footwear advised

Creek crossings, roots, and logs can be slippery

Rainforest terrain is muddy and wet. The early section is fairly easy; more challenging further on. Sections follow sidehill making for narrow pathways. The trail intersects the informal "Backyard Trails" system at numerous points — stick to the designated trail to avoid getting led astray.
