Visit HG TraderAll Islands' Art Show
The annual juried show celebrating visual artists across Haida Gwaii, hosted by the Haida Gwaii Arts Council. Free to view in person and online through May. Museum admission applies in June. Runs May 1 – June 26.
National Indigenous Peoples Day
Join the community for a day of cultural celebration featuring traditional dance, food, art, and storytelling. All are welcome.
Canada Day Celebrations
Community barbecue, live music, and fireworks at dusk. Check the HG Trader for specific times and locations across the islands.
Haida Heritage Centre Open House
Free admission day with guided tours, carving demonstrations, and a special exhibit on Haida navigation traditions.
Hospital Day
Annual community fundraiser with games, food vendors, silent auction, and live entertainment. A Haida Gwaii tradition since 1924.
Farmers' Market
Local produce, baked goods, crafts, and prepared foods. Daajing Giids community hall, 10am – 1pm.
Art Shows
Rotating exhibitions featuring local and visiting artists at the Visitor Centre gallery space.
Community Dinner
Potluck dinner at the community hall. Bring a dish to share. Everyone welcome.
Beach Cleanup
Volunteer beach cleanup at various locations. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 10am for supplies and ride-sharing.
Story Time
Children's story hour at the library, 10:30am. Featuring local authors and Indigenous stories.
Sporting Events
Soccer, basketball, and volleyball leagues. Check the HG Trader for current schedules and registration.
