There is a Haida saying: when the tide is out, the table is set. These islands are known for the abundance of wild food from land and sea — you are welcome to take what you need to eat every day.
Whether you are exploring with a guide or solo, taste the extraordinary flavour of salmon or chanterelles wrangled from the wild. Visit the places locals know. Go north to south or south to north.
Watch for shellfish toxin warnings before harvesting marine life.
