Trail easily accessible from two primary points, both of which are clearly identified by trailhead markers: The top of 8th Street (north of the high school) and the top of 9th Street (north of the Village Office).

Rainforest terrain is  muddy and wet: sturdy footwear advised. Early section fairly easy, more challenging further on. Creek crossings, roots and logs can be slippery.  Sections follow sidehill, making for narrow pathways.

Highlights: evidence of springboard logging, mosses, old growth, rich vegetation as is found throughout Haida Gwaii. Trail intersects informal “Backyard Trails” system at numerous points;  stick to designated trail to avoid getting led astray.
